Directions to the Wakefield Laugh Club
at 326 Main Street in Wakefield, Mass.
(1) From 93 North
* Exit 37A onto 128 North and then
(2) From 128 North
- Exit 40 (Rte 129; Wakefield/Wilmington)
- Avoid the rotary at the end of the exit ramp by taking an immediate Right. Honeydew Donuts will appear on your left, and the lake on your right.
- Make first Right onto Main Street by following the signs for 129E, Wakefield Center. Keep lake on your right.
- Continue slightly more than 1 mile, so that when the lake ends, you go straight into the center of town. The UU Church which houses us will be on your left across from the Post Office. If it were legal, you could make a U turn around the median strip to plant your car in front of the church. Thus, you might drive a bit until you can circle back, or simply park in front of the Post Office or library and cross the street.
The handicap accessible entrance is in back of the church. There's a wooden side gate on Main Street that leads directly to the ramped entrance. That said, parking in back makes accessible entry easier.
(3) From 128 South
- Exit 40 (Rte 129; Wakefield/Wilmington)
- Go about ¾ around the rotary following signs for 129E/ Wakefield.
- Honeydew Donuts on your left, lake on your right, proceed as above
(4) From Everett, Malden, Saugus, Melrose...
- One Main Street serves us all. Keep following it and if you notice a big lake on your left and you're near the end of Main Street, you've gone about a mile too far.
