| Two-Day Workshop on how to organize and lead mind-body-spirit therapeutic laughter yoga programs to accommodate diverse populations. Participants will be able to use information from Gelotology (laughter science), Positive Psychology, Psychoneuroimmunology, empirical research on therapeutic effects of laughter, and knowledge of ancient practices (Buddhism and mindfulness), in clinical, educational, consulting, corporate, wellness,volunteer, non-profit, and elder-care settings. Through development of laughter and breathing techniques, participants will learn how to manage negative effects of stress, enhance mood and the natural healing capacities of body and mind, increase immune functioning, decrease pain, increase social connection, promote creativity and playfulness, improve self-care, increase joy and life/work/social/relationship satisfaction.

This training will:
- Help you to learn how to add more laughter into your life by understanding the underlying principles of the "Inner Spirit Of Laughter"
- Show you how to reduce stress in a safe and positive manner Learn about psychoneuroimmunology and laughter Inspire and empower you to start and run a Laughter Club
- Teach you the skills and give you the confidence to teach laughter yoga classes, both with the general public, special needs groups, and any population with whom you work
- Discuss the history of Therapeutic Laughter and Laughter Yoga
- Describe the benefits and contra-indications of Laughter Yoga
- Explain why humor and happiness are not necessary to laugh
- Describe and demonstrate the different components of a Laughter Session, including a Laughter Meditation.
- Take groups to deeper levels of joy and inner peace through the Laughter Meditation
- Teach you how to laugh alone
- Describe the roles & responsibilities of the facilitator in a Laughter session.
- Be familiar with group dynamics and know how to effectively manage group laughter with a variety of participants (children, seniors, adults, etc.)
- Implement Laughter Yoga in different settings (e.g. corporate, hospital, schools, yoga centers, health centers, psychiatric facilities, etc.)
- Know how & where to market your services
The "Certified Laughter Yoga Leader" diploma (trademark of Dr Kataria School Of Laughter Yoga and only official Laughter Yoga certification) will be handed out to graduates upon completion of the workshop. You will not need to pay to maintain it every year. |

Lynn Caesar, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and a certified laughter yoga teacher and leader.
A life long student of natural therapies, she is influenced by positive psychology, Integrative medicine, and laughter as a mindfulness practice.
A psychotherapist for over 30 years, she has a private psychotherapy practice in Arlington. She provides therapy to children, adolescents, couples, families, and the full age span of young adults through people in their 80's.
She has founded and been running the Arlington Laughter Club since October 2004. The Arlington Laughter club has appeared on ABC News Good Morning America, NPR (WBUR: Laughter Clubs: Why Cracking Up Is Good for You), local radio, the Boston Globe (The Grin Reaper) and local newspapers.
She has been invited to speak and conduct workshops in Canada and Massachusetts for hospitals, mental health organizations, yoga centers, Integrative health care providers/organizations, electrical contractors, non-profit organizations, universities (Harvard, MIT), hospice organizations and communities for people whose lives are touched by cancer.
She also offers trainings for people who want to become certified laughter yoga leaders.
