      This training is both for people who want to become certified and/or for people who want to experience an intensive weekend of laughter yoga which can enhance the physical, emotional, spiritual, and creative benefits of laughter. The application of laughter yoga for living and working communities will be explored in this fun weekend training!

This training will:

  • Help you to learn how to add more laughter into your life by understanding the underlying principles of the "Inner Spirit Of Laughter"
  • Show you how to reduce stress in a safe and positive manner Learn about psychoneuroimmunology and laughter Inspire and empower you to start and run a Laughter Club
  • Teach you the skills and give you the confidence to teach laughter yoga classes, both with the general public, special needs groups, and any population with whom you work
  • Discuss the history of Therapeutic Laughter and Laughter Yoga
  • Describe the benefits and contra-indications of Laughter Yoga
  • Explain why humor and happiness are not necessary to laugh
  • Describe and demonstrate the different components of a Laughter Session, including a Laughter Meditation.
  • Take groups to deeper levels of joy and inner peace through the Laughter Meditation
  • Teach you how to laugh alone
  • Describe the roles & responsibilities of the facilitator in a Laughter session.
  • Be familiar with group dynamics and know how to effectively manage group laughter with a variety of participants (children, seniors, adults, etc.)
  • Implement Laughter Yoga in different settings (e.g. corporate, hospital, schools, yoga centers, health centers, psychiatric facilities, etc.)
  • Know how & where to market your services
The "Certified Laughter Yoga Leader" diploma (trademark of Dr Kataria School Of Laughter Yoga and only official Laughter Yoga certification) will be handed out to graduates upon completion of the workshop. You will not need to pay to maintain it every year.

Lynn Caesar, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and a certified laughter leader through Dr. Kataria's School of Laughter Yoga and the World Laughter Tour. She is a life long student of herbalism and natural therapies. She has been practicing psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for more than 30 years. She maintains a private practice in Arlington, MA. Through weaving these fields of psychotherapy and holistic healing, Dr. Caesar blends rich traditions encompassing the disciplines of psychotherapy, nutrition, alternative medicine, laughter yoga, mindfulness practices, herbalism, psychoneuroimmunology, and positive psychology.

Dr. Caesar has been running the Arlington Laughter club since October 2004. Her work with the laughter club has been featured in the Boston Globe, local newspapers, radio, television, and on ABC News Good Morning America. She has been invited to speak and conduct workshops in Canada and Massachusetts for hospitals, mental health organizations, hospice organizations, universities, yoga centers, alternative health care providers/organizations, electrical contractors, non-profit organizations, and communities for people with disabilities and for those whose lives are touched by cancer. Recently, Dr. Caesar was awarded the "Laughter Ambassador" by Dr. Madan Kataria.

Dr. Caesar offers the following programs to individuals, health care professionals, educational institutions, and corporations/organizations: healing depression naturally; holistic consultations; laughter as medicine; laughter and joy workshops for couples; stress management through laughter; anger management through laughter; team-building, staff development, and building positive work environments through laughter; laughter/joy coaching.
