Bastard is an interesting word. If you are a male child with a mother but no physical proof of a father some people will call you a bastard and they will continue to call you a bastard till your father returns and gives you millions of dollars because he feels guilty for having abandoned you when you were small.

Now the same people who used to call you 'Bastard', and will start calling you 'Sir!' and will try to get close to you, hoping you will give them or one of their relative a job.

When they realize you are not in a forgiving mood for the way they treated you and you won't give them or any of their relatives a job, they will call you a 'Bastard', even if you have physical proof of a male parent.

There's a logical reason why some people behave like that. The reason is identical to the logic which explains why some people spit directly into the wind.
