A New Holiday for World Peace
"Do you know what we need?"
"No, I don't know what we need, but I'm sure you'll tell me."
"What we need is a day where the world stops having wars, people stop competing with each other and work to make society better, a day on which everyone is willing to act mellow."
"Your idea sounds wonderful. What would we name a day like that?"
"How about we call it, Sanity Day!"
"Sanity Day! That's a great idea! But that's not enough. We need a symbol to represent what we believe in and a symbol people can gather around."
"I got it! Sanity Claus! And on Sanity Day, Sanity Claus can come down the chimney and fill people's straight jackets, which are hanging over the fireplace, with peaceful toys."
"Sanity Claus? This sounds too much like Christmas. And how are you going to convince people to purchase straight jackets to hang over their fireplace?"
"I thought that if we bought them in bulk, we could resell them at a reasonable price and everyone would be able to afford one."
"Sanity Day! It sounds just like a crazy idea that just might work."
