The sayings you are reading come from the book "A Good Channel Has No Commercial Interruptions." This book is a translation of an Ancient Spiritual Manuscript -- specifically, a manual for attaining Humor Enlightenment, or as it has come to be called in modern times, "Groucho Consciousness."
The wisdom in this book comes to us from the Ancient Brotherhood of Moe, an occult group founded in the early Second Century whose stated purposes were the following:
Thus, in the Second Century the wisdom in this manuscript -- A Good Channel Has No Commercial Interruptions -- was translated into a numerical code and disguised as a Third Grade Arithmetic Book.
This was such an effective disguise that the book may very well have remained a secret forever. But one day a couple of years ago, Walter Ness, while in Eureka, Illinois, shopping in a bookstore that specialized in used textbooks, discovered that the examples in this particular math book gave the wrong answers to the questions.
He immediately became suspicious and began to work feverishly, trying to figure out what the book really meant. Unfortunately, he was not able to get much work accomplished because of his fever.
Finally, on the verge of giving up, Walter was discussing the book with a bartender when he was overheard by Brother D., a surviving member of the Ancient Brotherhood of Moe, who for years had heard about this fabled document and dreamt of one day obtaining a copy. Brother D. introduced himself to Walter and together they combined their resources (Walter's beer and Brother D's chips and taco sauce) and proceeded to unlock the secrets of this Ancient Manuscript.
As a result of their efforts this ancient document , so relevant today, is now available to all. But the Brotherhood recommends that you not attempt to follow the wisdom in this book without the guidance of a Humor Enlighteneed Master.
Humorous Vobiscum
